Individual & Small Business Bankruptcy
Filing for bankruptcy as an individual and or small business is complicated
As a bankruptcy attorney in in Tucson, I am aware that filing for bankruptcy is a hard process that demands respect. Many consumers use unqualified counsel or file for bankruptcy on their own. This could signal the start of a nightmare. These people lose their inheritances, cars, tax refunds, and other valuable items. Normally, if a bankruptcy is organized properly, these issues can be avoided.
The debtor and their property are shielded from creditors when a bankruptcy petition is filed by a “magical” cloak known as the automatic stay. Nearly everyone, including the IRS, is stopped in their tracks by this huge umbrella. A mortgage company, bill collector, or creditor cannot interfere with the debtor or any of the debtor’s property unless the bankruptcy court orders it.

For Lawyers
Basic Legal Information for Lawyers in Tucson
provided by a bankruptcy lawyer in Arizona for other lawyers. Every day, the practice of law becomes increasingly complex. The day when an attorney could “do it all” is quickly passing. Not because one lawyer can’t offer sound legal and practical guidance in a variety of legal areas, but rather because they generally shouldn’t.
New laws, court rulings, administrative rules, and policies are created every day that have an immediate impact on the laws already in place. These developments all have an effect on other legal areas. A change in tax law, for instance, may have an impact on bankruptcy or real estate law. Or, a ruling by a federal court directly affects already-in-effect state laws.
